A bill has been introduced in Congress by Rep. Zach Wamp (R-Tenn) and Rep. John Lewis (D-Georgia) to authorize a study of whether Green McAdoo Cultural Center should become a National Park Service park.

"The Clinton 12", the documentary about the integration of Clinton High School, has received three film awards; Best Southern Film at the Asheville North Carolina Film Festival in November, Best Documentary at the Southern Fried Flicks Film Festival in Augusta Georgia in January, and Best Documentary at the Texas Black film Festival in February.
