It all begin with
a hope. The Green
McAdoo school had
been closed for a
number of years and
was starting to deteriorate.
The school's pivotal
role in the Civil
Rights movement had
been long forgotten
by the people of Clinton.
A few people dreamed
of renovating the
school and turning
it into a place to
remember and celebrate
the spirit of those
who struggled for
equality.
